Aeonium haworthii x undulatum

Aeonium haworthii x undulatum is a hybrid between the medium-sized many-branching Aeonium haworthii and the extremely tall, sparsely-branching Aeonium undulatum. The result is a giant shrubby beast of a plant, very tall and very wide with many large handsome rosettes of green foliage perched on the ends of thick trunks that become woody with age. The leaves have fine white cilia on the margins.

Aeonium haworthii x undulatum is a vigorous hybrid and although it will take a some time to reach its full enormous size it grows very fast and always just seems to be getting bigger.

Aeonium haworthii x undulatum requires a very free-draining substrate and can be grown in sun or partial shade during the summer months. It should be brought back inside before the first of the frosts around the end of September or beginning of October to a warm well-lit room for the duration of the winter. It can also be grown indoors all year round in a warm well-lit aspect. Counterintuitively, Aeoniums - unlike most other succulents - like to be kept a little moist during the winter. They can be given a little water every few weeks but make sure you don't overdo it. They can also be misted the same as your other houseplants and this encourages aerial roots from the base of the rosettes.
