Tulipa turkestanica is a charming and reliable species tulip endemic to the mountains of Central Asia where it grows on rocky slopes and carpets vast meadows. It is very low growing with pale ivory flowers with a strong yellow centre. They open wide to form a dainty star resembling a miniature narcissus. Flowering from March.
