Sarcococca confusa
Sarcococa confusa, Sweet Box, is a delightful gem of a plant. A tough and hardy evergreen shrub that tolerates a wide range of soil types and conditions, it will nonetheless unfailingly and generously reward the grower with its sweet intense fragrance in the dark winter months. And what a fragrance! It is one of botany's wonders that such a tiny flower can produce such an overwhemingly powerful and heady scent. An ideal plant to have by your back-door or in the forefront of your jungle clearing, where its sweet honeyed perfume will entice you out into the winter chill to marvel awhile.
Highly recommended and a real joy. Often overlooked by exotic gardeners for more exotic and larger-leaved plants, Sarcocca confusa is a plant that should be in every garden.
These are good-sized plants in 3L pots.
