Euphorbia epithymoides, Cushion Spurge is usually sold at garden centres and nurseries by its out-dated synonym Euphorbia polychroma. A compact, low-growing, clump-forming Spurge from the Mediterannean, it has brilliant acid yellow-flowers in late Spring - usually April to May - at a time when many of the other Euphorbias have finished flowering.
Very drought tolerant and adaptable to a range of soil types, Euphorbia epithymoides can be grown in sun or partial shade. Its compact form is a definite plus and it doesn't get as leggy as many of the other Euphorbias.
An easy and rewarding plant.
