Tigridia pavonia 'Alba' is a white-flowering cultivar of Tigridia pavonia, the Mexican Tiger Flower. A tropical member of the Iridaceae family, it has tall foliage and stunningly beautiful flowers with three broad white petals surrounding central pink markings.
Flowering throughout the summer, Tigridia pavonia 'Alba' produces a succession of flowers with each flower typically lasting only a day or two. It is very easy to grow, requiring a warm sunny aspect and a gritty well-drained soil. The foliage and flowers grow quite tall so it is best located in a sheltered wind-free location.
