Trachycarpus takil, Kumaon Palm. These are the real Trachycarous takil. There has been so much confusion over Trachycarpus takil it is worthwhile to discuss the seed provenance of these seeds. They are genuine RPS sourced seeds obtained and germinated in 2012 - well after the unfortunate confusion over the seed that was sold as Trachycarpus takil that was in fact Trachycarpus fortunei 'Nainital'. As such they are among the oldest genuine Trachycarpus takil plants around today. They are not huge. They would doubtless be a lot bigger if they hadn't been confined to their seed trays for five years before planting out into their current 1.5 litre poly pots in 2016. Likewise they would be even bigger still if they had planted into larger pots. But they are the real thing,
