Polygonatum multiflorum, Solomon's Seal, is one of our most beautiful native woodlanders with graceful arching stems and delicate pendent bell shaped-flowers that are white and edged with green. Rapidly appearing in mid-Spring, the stems quickly flower and their dangling ivory bells provide a unique charm for a shady sheltered spot. Over time the rhizomes slowly spread creating a large and vigourous clump. Like all Polygonatums, it requires a cool moist location that is at least partially shaded. A wonderful planting companion for other woodlanders and native ferns.
