Euphorbia griffithii 'Fireglow', Griffith's Spurge, is a stunning horticultural cultivar of Euphorbia griffithii with erect purple-red stems and a spectacular inflorescence of orange-red bracts and bright yellow cyathia in Spring through to summer. The foliage is bright green with conspicuous reddish-purple mid-ribs. The foliage turns shades of purple and red in autumn
Euphorbia griffithii 'Fireglow' has a herbaceous rhizomatous habit, forming sizeable clumps over time and dying back each year in the autumn.
It is hard not to describe Euphorbia griffithii 'Fireglow' with anything other than hyberbole. The fiery bracts are such a startling change from the acid-green or yellow bracts one usually associates with most perennial Euphorbias commonly grown in the UK.
Highly recommended.
