Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light', Silver Grass, is an exceptionally beautiful cultivar of Miscanthus sinensis with pale variegations along the edge of the leaf and variable stripes in the centre or off-centre. It is a vigourous grass but is relatively small for the species reaching to about 1.5m or at the most, 2m.
Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light' is a graceful and refined cultivar with a wonderful elegance that in a gentle breeze sets the entire plant shimmering with light. The thin narrow foliage is enhanced by the subtle variegation to give a very light and ethereal effect.
In late summer to autumn it is topped by a deep pink plume of flowers.
