Arisaema intermedium has a wide range in the wild from the western Himalayas to Yunnan in China growing to altitudes of 3500 metres above sea level usually in forest and forest clearings. It has a green inflorescence striped with white vertical lines and a spadix with an extremely long appendage that often dangles down or is caught on its own growing trifoliolate foliage. It is an easy and rewarding aroid to cultivate.
