Nerine bowdenii 'Alba', the white-flowering form of Guernsey Lily, has spidery umbels of purest exquisite white held aloft on tall stems. It flowers in autumn and is a striking contrast when planted with the more usual pink-flowering type-species.
Nerine bowdenii 'Alba' dislikes being disturbed or transplanted and bulbs will often take a season or two to really get established. Once they do become established they will form numerous bulbils and eventually create a thriving clump. They require a warm, sheltered aspect and excellent drainage with the addition of grit or sharp sand and will tolerate temperatures as low as -15C.
