Hosta 'Empress Wu'
Hosta 'Empress Wu' is a Hosta cultivar with enormous foliage - probably the largest foliage of any Hosta cultivar and that may well be the reason you would like to buy this plant... but there is another wonderful characteristic of this cultivar and that is its extraordinary flower bracts which resemble a waterlily - they are absolutely enchanting.
These are large, well-established, mature plants in 3 litre pots - buy them now as their leaf buds are just emerging from winter dormancy and before the foliage grows so big as to make them impossible to ship.
A cultivar registered by Virginia and Brian Skaggs, Hosta 'Empress Wu' was developed from a seedling of a self-pollinated Hosta 'Big John' and is protected by Plant Breeders Rights.
