Jasminum nudiflorum, Winter Jasmine is a tough reliable shrub from China and Tibet that bears yellow flowers from November through to March. Another of the many plants that was first collected by Robert Fortune, it has proved very popular in the UK where its tough resilient habit and winter-blooming makes it a rewarding no-fuss plant. Not the most exotic plant and by no means rare it is not for the plant snobs but it can and does prove its worth in many gardens, brightening up a corner with its yellow flowers.
Jasminum nudiflorum is so undemanding it really needs little attention other than pruning to the desired shape in Spring once flowering has finished.
