Hosta 'White Feather'' is small-sized Hosta with creamy-white emergent foliage that provides a startling contrast with surrounding green foliage. The leaves are usually totally devoid of chlorophyll as they emerge in late March or early April and provide several weeks of ghostly beauty before green venation starts to appear and they slowly turn green as the spring develops.
It is a sport of Hosta 'Undulata', a cultivar that was once classified as a Hosta species and has been the parent material for many of the world's white variegated Hostas.
Needless to say the slugs and snails absolutely love it. We use organic slug pellets to protect ours.
