Miscanthus sinensis 'Silberfeder' is an exceptionally dramatic cultivar of Miscanthus sinensis with strong vigourous growth and producing silvery plumes of flowers in the summer. In autumn the foliage turns golden yellow and the flower panicles look resplendent in the winter sun. It is best to leave the foliage uncut throughout the winter to enjoy the ephemeral effects of sun and frost upon it before cutting it back in early Spring.
