Sanguisorba menziesii, Menzies' Burnet or Alaskan Burnet, is a very easy-to-grow Burnet with long maroon-purple bottlebrush flowers and greyish-green foliage with scalloped margins. It has a tall loose habit and very vigourous growth, quickly reaching 1m or more in height.
An ideal plant for a more informal situation combined with other perennials, it also works well with a fusion of exotics.
