Euphorbia wallichii, Wallich's Spurge is a robust herbaceous Spurge from the Himalayas with broad yet short leaves, strongly accented with a mid-rib and the classic acid-yellow Euphorbia infloresence. Growing at high altitude in its native range, Euphorbia wallichii is a tough hardy perennial that springs forth with great vigour once the weather starts to warm and it flowers throughout the summer from May to August..
Described by Joseph Dalton Hooker, Euphorbia wallich is named after Nathaniel Wallich, Superintendent of the Royal Botanic Garden, Calcutta from 1815 to 1846.
