Asclepias incarnata 'Ice Ballet', is a selected cultivar of the naturally occuring white-flowering form of Swamp Milkweed, most usually found in Missouri although the more usual pinkish-purple flowering form is widespread across the USA and north into eastern Canada. It is a hardy Asclepias and will survive down to at least -7C and probably more. It thrives in heavy, wet soils although it will do well in most locations as long as it has adequate water. The umbels of pure-white star-shaped flowers appear throughout the summer and have a delicate fragrance. Like all Asclepias species it is a magnet to butterflies.
Highly recommended.
